Conventional and vacuum hardening
Heat treatment that hardens steel; in a vacuum, without oxidizing the surface.
About the service
Hardening heats steel and cools it quickly to increase its hardness and its resistance to wear and loads. It is then tempered to reduce brittleness and reach the hardness on the drawing.
In vacuum hardening, the part is heated without oxygen, which helps prevent oxidation and scale and reduces distortion. This is especially useful for tool steels such as D2 or H13. In your request, include the steel grade and the hardness required on the drawing, for example in HRC.
